Waiting for rain

As many of you know, this summer has been extreemly dry in our region. We are all waiting for rain and according to the weatherman it is on the way here sometime tonight.  Hope to hear the splashing on the roof soon, will let you know tomorrow if the forecast was true.

In the meantime I keep CASEing cards I swaped at Convention as well as some I found on the many display boards in the Demonstrator Recource Center.  Here is the swap I received from Ellen Auger (on the left) and my CASE of it on the right side.  I just love the new in-colours!

I  added a little message to the inside of my card - like it?
Thanks for looking!

Happy Stamping,

Let's get started!

Good morning everyone, I am back at my beautiful home, arrived safely last night in Ottawa where my dear husband Gord met me with a big smile and kiss! How I love that!

It seems to be difficult for me to describe my feelings about Convention 2012 - here is what I came up with: It felt like going to a huge family reunion where I met my extended family, some very close, some distant ones and some "cousins" I had no idea existed. We all were there for the same reason - to have fun with each other, to share our ideas and pick up new ideas, and to get to know each other better. Every one of us was in a happy and upbeat mood, some of us even turned emotional at times (I was one of them!)

Watch the video and see yourself how it feels to be part of Stampin'Up!

Today will be my regrouping and planning day, working on events for the next few months and catching up with friends and customers.

May your day be as good as mine!

My Countdown to Convention 2012

It's hard to believe, only 2 sleeps and I will be off to Salt Lake City. Today I finished all my swaps and my gifts to Donna and Sherry, who will be sharing a room with me. I made 52 cards to swap, am absolutely proud of my design and product. Here are the details of the my swap card:
Stamp Sets: Love & Laughter
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Glimmer Paper - Silver
Inks: Basic Grey, Versa Mark
Punches: Small Heart
Other Supplies: Big Shot, Framed Tulips Folder, Perfect Polka Dots Folder, Labels Collection Framelits; Stampin’ Emboss Powder – Silver; Stamping Sponges; 5/8” Organza Ribbon; Basic Jewels Pearls, Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue Measurements: Finished Card Base – Portrait Format – 4 ¼” x 5 ½”

For swaps we only make the front of a card, just in case you wonder ... My card opens up on the front - check it out:

"Love & Laughter" is one of my favourite stamp sets from the current catalogue. More details:
Once I was done with all the cards, I decided to make some 3-d swaps. Using the Framelits Labels, I made 20 treat holders, with Hershey bars inside.
May I present: My 3-d Duo
Now all I have to do is pack everything properly and wait for my ride to the airport. Come by again tomorrow, I will show you what I made for Donna and Sherry. I wish everyone a nice evening, stay cool and relaxed during this hot weather. I am off to the beach for a long swim.

See you soon.

Hugs from Christine

What a beautiful summer weekend!

We had a great sunny weekend here at the lake. On Saturday I helped Larissa with her card sale project - she raised $77 for our local church by selling handmade cards to customers at the annual flea market here in the village. Today I started to work on my swap card for Stampin'Up! Convention 2012. I will post photos tomorrow, when I am closer to getting them all done. I wish everyone a good week, stay cool and well hydrated. Hugs, Christine
